  • Cats: Current FVCRP, Rabies, FIV/FeLV negative
  • Storm-anxious dogs need vet-prescribed medication (ready to administer)

  • Not accepting: high anxiety dogs, dog-reactive dogs, escape artists
  • No outside bedding or dishes — provided on-site

What vaccinations are required for boarding?

Dogs need current DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordetella (within 6 months). Cats need FVCRP, Rabies, and FIV/FeLV negative test.

Do I need to bring food for my dog?

We provide food, bedding, toys, and treats. You're welcome to bring your own food if your pet has dietary preferences.

Are your boarding runs climate-controlled?

Yes, all runs are indoor/outdoor and fully climate-controlled year-round.

Do you offer cat boarding?

Yes! Cats stay in comfortable condos with scenic outdoor views. Cat boarding is $25/day.

What are your hours for drop-off and pick-up?

Full hours Tuesday, Friday (7am-5pm) and Saturday (7am-4pm). Limited drop-off/pick-up windows on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (7-9am, 4-5pm) and Sunday/Holidays (7-8am, 3-4pm).

How much does dog boarding cost?

Rates are $46/day for dogs up to 30 lbs, $54/day for 31-59 lbs, and $60/day for dogs 60+ lbs.

Do you offer holiday boarding?

Yes! We're open 7 days a week including holidays. Holiday periods fill quickly — call early to reserve your pet's spot. Pickup and drop-off windows are 7–8 AM and 3–4 PM on holidays.

What's the difference between a dog kennel and dog boarding?

At Hillcrest, they're the same thing. We're a traditional Nashville dog kennel that offers full boarding with climate-controlled indoor/outdoor runs, daily exercise, and personal attention from our small staff. Some people search "dog kennel" and others search "dog boarding" — either way, your dog gets the same care at the same rates.
